Degenerative modeling is at the center of Dynamic Disc Designs research. Degenerative Disc Disease is a very common radiological finding and communicating these clinical findings is much easier to do if the doctor has a dynamic model to explain the tissue. Degenerated discs, are often demonstrated with disc height loss and with the flexible models that are crafted, disc height loss can be shown dynamically.
This can be quite revealing to a patient when there is hypermobility, for example, and the annular fibres are sensitive or the facets are imbricating causing pain to trigger.
A dynamic model can help empower a patient about self awareness of posture and wind down the pain sensitivity.

A one-level spine model (L4-5) constructed from a degenerative spine showing disc height loss and facet arthropathy. New updated feature of foraminal stenosis.
A C6-7 dynamic model showing a central herniating and dynamically extruding nucleus only under load. Show six degrees of freedom with this degenerated model.
This degenerative L4-5 model is a grade one spondylolisthesis with a narrowed spinal canal. A stiffened disc allows minor movement to show further stenosis in extension.
